Will of John E. Caldwell

 

State of Georgia
Hall County

In the name of God Amen.

I John E. Caldwell being of sound mind and being satisfied that it is my duty so to do, do make ordain and publish this my last Will hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me.

Item lst - I desire my body to be buried, I resign my Soul to my Maker.

Item 2nd- I desire for my Executor to pay all my just debts.

Item 3rd - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth all my estate both real and personal for and during her natural life.

Item 4 - After the death of my wife it is my desire that all my estate be converted into cash and that it be equally divided amongst my five children advancements being first accounted as follows, Miriam and Milton P have each received two hundred dollars and Sary (sic) E. has received One hundred and fifty dollars which must be counted as part of their distributive share while Martha and Frances L have neither received anything.

Item 5 - I desire for my daughter Martha and Frances to live with my wife during her life or until they shall marry and to have a support out of my estate with my wife.

Item 6 - If any of my children should die before my Will is executed leaving children it is my will that all children shall stand in the stead of the deceased parent in the distribution of my Estate.

Item 7 - I nominate my wife Elizabeth to be my Executrix and my friend John B Estes to be my Executor to carry out this my will.

In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 4th day of July 1873
