This Indenture made this 30th day October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four, and in the eighteenth year of American Independence.
Between John Berry of the State of Georgia and Hancock County of the one part & Adam Jones of the said State and County of Warren of the other part, Witnesseth that
the said John Berry for and in consideration of the sum of twenty Pounds current money in hand to him paid, by the said Jones the receipt whereof & the said John Berry
doth hereof acknowledge, he hath Bargained & sold, and by these presents Grant, Bargain, Sell and deliver unto the Adam Jones his heirs and assigns (a tract or parcel of
Land lying and being in the County of Hancock on the waters of Ogechee River a part of a tract of two hundred acres of Land, where the said Hezekiah Linsecum now
lives. Beginning on the old line against the end of the big Stoney hill and running with Crimmars Land running West-28 degrees to a pine marker, Then North 5 to William
Sheffield’s lane, to the north draw of the said Linsecum Spring Branch and down the said spring Branch against the foot of the big Stoney Hill & then a direct course to the
other line). Together with all and singular the members and appurtenances do thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining. Revisions, Remainders, Rents and
Emoluments whatever unto the said Adam Jones, his heirs or assigns to their only proper use and behoof to him the said Adam Jones his heirs and assigns forever, and the
said John Berry for himself his heirs and assigns will warrant and defend forever the said Tract of Land and premises unto the said Adam Jones his heirs & assigns forever
against all lawful claims of person or persons. In testimony whereof the said John Berry hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day and year above written.

Before me John Hammill a Magistrate for this County personally came and appeared Adam Jones, Senr. of Long Creek in this County who being duly sworn maketh oath & saith that he is a subscribing witness to the within written Indenture of Bargain & Sale & that he saw the within named John Berry duly sign, seal & execute the same & that the name Adam Jones Senior subscribed hereto as a witness, is this deponents hand writing.
