STATE OF GEORGIA

This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of November Eighteen hundred and Seventeen between Francis Biggam, Attorney in fact for John Glass of the City of Savannah of the one part and John Berry of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Francis Biggam as attorney in fact aforesaid & by the authority in him vested under and by virtue of a certain power of attorney under the hand and seal of the said John Glass, bearing date at the aforesaid city of Savannah on the Seventeenth day of September Eight hundred & Seventeen, for and in consideration of the sum of Nine hundred and Eighty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, released and confirmed unto the said John Berry ( all that tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Hancock on the waters of Buffaloe containing one hundred & twenty two and one fourth acres be the same more or less, bounded on the North East by Hugh Taylor land, on the South East - by land this day sold and conveyed by said Francis Biggam to said John Berry and on all other sides by Charles Abercrombie, being the tract of land conveyed by Hugh Taylor to said John Glass by a deed bearing date on the twenty sixth day of December Eighteen hundred & Sixteen). Together with all and singular the rights, members & appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertaining, to have and to hold the said tract of land and premises unto the only proper use benefit & behoof of the said John Berry his heirs & assigns forever. And the said Francis Biggam as attorney in fact aforesaid doth by these presents bind the said John Glass his heirs Executors, administrators or assigns do warrant and forever defend the title of the aforesaid tract of land & premises against all & every claim whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said Francis Biggam hath herewith set his hand & seal as attorney aforesaid this day & year first above written.
