GEORGIA HANCOCK COUNTY
This Indenture made this the Seventh day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & seventy one between John B. Latimer of the first part & James E. Berry of the same County and state of the second part. Witnesseth that the said John B. Latimer for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & twenty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the signing and sealing of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted sold bargained aliened & conveyed & doth by these presents grant sell bargain alien and convey unto James E. Berry aforesaid his heirs and assigns all that tract of land lying situate in said County known as a part of the homestead tract of land of William W. Devereux deceased containing thirty & one fourth acres more or less adjoining land of the said James E. Berry, Estate of Sally Hall and others.
In testimony whereof the said John B. Latimer hath here to subscribed his name and affixed his seal the day and year above written.
