It is ordered that he be and he is hereby appointed administrator of the goods and chattels, rights, credits and estate of Thomas Foster, deceased, on his executing board in the sum of twenty thousand dollars with security approved by the Court and that letters of administration do issue to him accordingly ?. The said John Foster, thereupon executed the bond required with security approved by the Court and was duly sworn in terms of the law, and received letters in the proceeds.
On the application of John Foster, adm. of Thomas Foster, deceased. It is ordered that James P. Knowles, Richard Fears, Thomas W. Perry, John Mitchell, and Charles R. Knowles be appointed appraisers of the personal estate of Thomas Foster and that they or a majority after being duly sworn do appraise and said estate according to law.
Georgia, Hancock County
We the undersigned agree that the lands and negroes belonging to the estate of Thomas Foster, deceased, may be divided between the legatees of said estate without obtaining an order from the Court of Ordinary for that purpose, and we agree, James Barnes, James Knowles, Richard Fears and Lewis Morgan Barnes, or a majority of them shall make said division and we agree to abide their decision in the matter, and we also agree that said persons named as commissioners may return their actions and doings to the Court of Ordinary, which shall be as binding on our part as if done under an order of Court.

We each of us acknowledge to have received from John Foster administrator of Thomas Foster, deceased, of Hancock County, State of Georgia, deceased, the full and entire amount coming to us of the real and personal estate of said deceased as distributes of said estate.
And we and each of us do hereby bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators severally to refund to the said John Foster administrator as aforesaid our proportionable part of any debt which may hereafter be established against the estate of said deceased. Witness our hand and seals.
