Ignatz Rado was born in Austria-Hungary in 1856. He married Julia Anna Poor, also born in Austria-Hungary,
prior to coming to America. They were unable to have children but once arriving in America they had 5! They
lived in the Manhattan section of New York City, NY. Ignatz was employed as a Saddle Maker / Pocketbook Maker.
While in Hungary, Ignatz served in the Hungarian Army and held the position of a "hussar" or General. He was
of small stature which was standard for all of those serving as "hussars". They migrated to Haralson County to assist in

 settling the new Hungarian Colony of Budapest at the urging of a Catholic Priest, Father Janoscik, who recruited

 many Hungarian immigrant's from New York.

Ignatz and Julia had 5 children:
Steve George "Pista" Rado Married Mary Horvath - moved to Lorain, Ohio and worked at National Tube died in 1952 and

 is buried in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Avon, Ohio.

Margaret Helen Rado Married Frank John Holley Sr. - moved to Avon, Ohio She died in 1945 of a stroke and is buried

 in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH.

Albert Joseph "Red" Rado Married Pauline Estavanko - Moved to Lorain, Ohio and worked for National Tube Steel Mill and

retired in 1958. He died 4-10-1960 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH.

William Mitchell "Bela" Rado Married Mary Helen Kelly - moved to Lorain, Ohio and worked for several factories. Was

injured at American Shipyard. he died in Feb 1968 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH.

Julia Rado Born in April 1900 and Died June 1900 and is buried in the Budapest Cemetery in Haralson County, GA.

Ignatz died in 1906 at the early age of 50. He is buried in the Budapest Cemetery in Haralson County, GA
and his wife moved north with her children and died in 1925 and is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.
