STEADMAN SCHOOL PRIOR TO 1920
The following photograph is published courtesy of The Tallapoosa Journal, and is
titled "Older Class Steadman School before 1920 during the celebration of the
cotton harvest." Published in the Journal July 29, 1997.
As a matter of information, schools were in
session after the harvest season until planting time in the spring. Schools
restarted after the crops were laid-by, then closed again for harvest of the
crops.
