STEADMAN SCHOOL PRIOR TO 1920
The following photograph is published courtesy of The Tallapoosa Journal, and is titled "Older Class Steadman School before 1920 during the celebration of the cotton harvest." Published in the Journal July 29, 1997.

As a matter of information, schools were in session after the harvest season until planting time in the spring.  Schools restarted after the crops were laid-by, then closed again for harvest of the crops.
