DANIEL, FARRELL, FERRELL, HORNSBY, SINGLETON posted by Camay Jennings on Monday, November 23, 1998
I am searching for the FERRELL family who lived in Henry Co., GA from abt. 1835 to abt. 1850. My gggrandfather Thomas FERRELL, born 1808-1816 in SC, his wife Mary born abt. 1812 in SC (this information is according to Tallapoosa Co., AL 1860 census) had with them the following children who where born in GA: William T. born abt. 1838; Martha A. born abt. 1841; and James Monroe (my ggrandfather) born abt. 1843. After moving to AL, the family had one more child - Rebecca born abt. 1849. It is possible that this family came directly from Wicklow Co, Ireland. I found an 1840 Henry Co. census record for a Thomas FERRELL with more children than this, so it is possible that part of the family stayed in Georgia. I have actively researched this family for the past 12 years and welcome any information. Possible associated names in Henry Co. are: WALDRUP; HORNSBY; DANIEL; SINGLETON Camay Jennings Camay51487@aol.com or cjenning@pepperdine.edu

Seeking information on the families of Eli and Wiley STRICKLAND who moved to Henry Co. from Jasper Co., Ga during the 1820--30's. They later moved to Alabama. Eli's daughter, Lydia, married William WARREN circa 1840. Some of their descendants moved to Cullman Co., AL. Also am interested in James Jackson CULBERSON who married Phoebe MESSER in Henry Co. in 1840. This family later moved to Chambers Co., AL and finally to Coosa Co., AL. I have extensive information on these families and will be happy to share.

CAWTHON, LOWEY posted by Joann Wilcoxson Bragg on Monday, December 28, 1998
Searching for information on parents of JACKSON LOWEY from Henry Co, GA. He was born in NC? ca 1820 and died ca 1864, probably in VA during the War Between the States. His wife was Martha Cawthon, married Dec 22, 1842 in Butts Co, GA. Children were George Lewis Lowey (never married) and Eliza Frances (Fanny) Lowey who married Samuel Warren Boynton. I have letters that Jackson wrote during the war and LOWEY is the way he spelled his name. Any help will be appreciated.
