79 Dean Steward Thank you for responding to my query. Absolom Stewart moved to an area near Stone Mountain sometime around 1814. It may have been before or about the time Henry County was chartered. He settled there and farmed. He was elected or nominated to be a judge of the Inferior Court of Henry County. A year or so later when DeKalb was made out of a part of Henry County he was made one of the first three Judges of the DeKalb Co. Inferior Court. Several of his sons remained in DeKalb, and one of them, Elijah Stewart was my GG Grandfather. I can give you more information on the family if you are interested. I was particularly interested in obtaining any land transfer records that he may have been involved with, and have been searching in vain for a picture. Any bit of information will be gratefully received.

38 Mina M. Clark Bickerstaff in Fort Worth, Texas We have recent confirmation by photographs of the gravesites of Sarah Wright Jarrett and three of her daughters at Mt Carmel Cemetery. The daughters are Sarah Ann (Jarrett) Tidwell and husband Henry Tidwell, M(ary) Susan (Jarrett) Strickland, and F. Catherine (Kitty) Jarrett. There are two gravesites without headstones between the Tidwells and Sarah Wright Jarrett. It is our speculation that these may be those of Ralph Raford Jarrett, husband of Sarah Wright Jarrett, and their son Nathan Jarrett who died at an early age.We have quite a bit of information on the ancestors of both Sarah Wright and Ralph Jarrett. We would like to make contact with the descendants of the above daughters. They also had a son, Peter Jarrett, and one other daughter Jane, who married Colden Johnson. I cannot remember others at this time.

Information needed on ancestors of Jeremiah Jackson (J.J.) WALKER who lived in the Ringold community of Spalding Co. He was born in CHESTER CO., SC in 1821 and moved to SUMTER CO., GA about 1836 with his father, Jeremiah (Jerry) WALKER, and his mother Elizabeth DELASHMET. She died June 14, 1842. Jerry died Oct. 29, 1852. Need to know Jerry's father's name. It is thought to be Andrew but positive proof is needed. Jerry named his oldest son ANDREW WAGGONER WALKER, possibly after his father. A.W. WALKER was a large landowner in Spalding/Henry Co, GA along the TOWALIGA River. He was a miller. Jerry WALKER also had an older daughter, Mary, who married Joseph LEWIS. She had a large family and lived in Sumter Co close by her father, Jeremiah WALKER. She was living there as late as the 1870 census. Possibly one or more of her sons came to Spalding/Henry Co to work for her brother, A.W. WALKER. Any information on these individuals will be greatly appreciated.

One of my most elusive ancestors is my great-great grandmother, Mary Ann OWEN, whom I have been unable to connect to either parent. Mary Ann married Dr. Addison BEAN in Philadelphia PA May 1837. They lived in McDonough, Henry Co., GA briefly, then moved to Forsyth, where most of their children were born. Dr. BEAN died in 1854. According to unsubstantiated family records, Mary Ann died ca. 1878 in Forsyth. Perhaps there is someone who has access to the Forcyth Cemetery records who can provide me tombstone information. I understand that Forsyth Cemetery records exist in both Forsyth and the Georgia State Archives. I have also posted a Mary Ann Owen query on "Genealogy's Most Wanted" (http://www.citynet.net/mostwanted/) Thanks in advance for any leads!
