   Gray, Jan. 8. W. T. Middlebrooks prominent merchant of the firm of Morgan & Middlebrooks, died suddenly this morning while sitting at a chair in his store. Mr. Middlebrooks' death was attributed to heart failure. He went to the store at the usual time this morning, apparently in good health, and was talking to his partner at the time he was stricken. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. M. Early, and one brther, A. J. Middlebrooks, both of Gray.

Ben Barron, aged 73 years, died at his home near Adgateville Sunday morning at eight o'clock after an illness of a few days with pneumonia.
    The deceased was born and reared in Jones county and was a member of the Methodist church of Hillsboro. He is survived by two children, Mrs. T. J. Russell of Julliette and J. G. Barron of Adgateville; one sister, Mrs. J. T. Williams of Round Oak, and one brother, J. W. Barron of Hillsboro.
   The funeral services were held at the Hillsboro Methodist church Monday afternoon at three o'clock and the interment was at Gordon cemetery near Hillsboro.

   Funeral services for D. E. Norris, vice-president of the Jones County Bank, a retired capitalist and farmer and one of the wealthiest men of this part of the state, who died early Thursday morning at his home, Haddock, after a brief illness, were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Rose Hill cemetery. Mr. Norris was 77 years of age. He was formerly manager of the Western Union Telegraph here and was well known in Macon and throughout Central Georgia. He leaves no immediate relatives.

J. D. Anchors, seventy years of age, died last night at 9 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. D. Cooper at Haddock, after an illness of two weeks. Mr. Anchors is survived by his wife and five daughters, Mrs. Cooper, Mrs. J. N. Hollowy, Mrs. H. C. Pierson and Mrs. W. E. Martin of Haddock, and Mrs. S. H. Haddock of Macon. Mr. Anchors was a business man of Haddock for forty years, moving here ten years ago to live. He was on a visit to his daughter when he became ill.
  The funeral will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Haddock Methodist Church. Interment will be at Haddock.

Allen Kitchens, age 33 years, who died at his home near Griswoldville, at ..hour yesterday morning. Mr. Kitchens had been ill about three weeks with typhoid fever. He was born and reared in Jones county, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Kitchens.
  Surviving are his widow, who before her marriage was Miss Odessa B...of Jones county, and two children, parents, five brothers and three sisters.
  The funeral services will beheld at the grave in Smith's Cemetery this morning at 10 o'clock.

C. H. (Carl Holland) Owens, aged 38 years, died Monday night at 11 o'clock at his home, 216 Shamrock street, after an illness of several months. Mr. Owens was born in Jones county and his parents moved to Macon thirty years ago. He was a well known painter here, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Painters, Decorators and Paper Hangers of America.
  Surviving are his mother, Mr. Mildred Owens of Macon; two brothers, J. W. Owens of Columbus and J. D. Owens of Macon; four sisters, Mrs. D. M. Gardner, Mrs. A. H. Haynes and Mrs. Addie Sellman, all of Macon and Mrs. P. C. Sawyers of Alabama.
  The funeral will be held at the residence this (Wednesday) afternoon at 5 o'clock, Rev. J. P. Wardlaw pastor at the First Street Methodist church officiating. The interment will be in the family lot at Fort Hill Cemetery.

  MissSusie Kitchens, 23 years of age, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the family residence in Jones county, after an illness of three weeks. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Kitchens, three sisters, Mrs. Frank Davis, Mrs.  Jack Kitchens and Mrs. Joe Avery, and five brothers, W. W., Lum, Henry, Charles and George Kitchens. The burial will take place at Smith Cemetery in Jones county this afternoon.

Mrs. M. R. Jones, age 59 years, died at 6:20 o'clock Friday evening after a long illness. Mrs. Jones was born and reared in Jones county. She was since early in life a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are one son, C. C.  Jones, of Macon; three brothers and one sister, Mrs. Viney Lowe, E. A., J. D. and Charles Roberts.
  The funeral party will leave Jesse B. Hart and Bros chapel at 12:30 o'clock this (Sunday) afternoon and the funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock from her residence. Rev. A. J. Johnson officiating. The interment will take place in the family lot at Roberts Station. The following will serve as pallbearers: E. C. Scott, Wiley Barnes, J. H. Roberts, J. D. Roberts, C. P. Roberts and E. A. Roberts.

 Round Oak, Oct. 4 - After an illness of three days, following a stroke of paralysis, Mrs. Mary E. Ridley, wife of the late Captain H. B. Ridley, died at the residence of her niece, Mrs. W. H. Holland near Round Oak, Sunday afternoon.
  Mrs. Ridley was in her 88th year, and the greater portion of her life was spent in Jones county. Besides one sister, Mrs. Sallie R. Watson, she is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
  The funeral and interment took place this afternoon at the old Ridley Cemetery, Rev. John T. Glover officiating.

  Mrs. Ommie Lee Churchwell, wife of W. C. Churchwell, died at their home at Griswoldville Saturday morning at 4 o'clock. Mrs. Churchwell was only 17 years of age and wa born and reared in Bibb County. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Pneumonia was the cause of her death. She was ill six weeks. Surviving are her husband, W. C.  Churchwell, and mother, Mrs. Will Young. The funeral services will be at 3 o'clock this (Sunday) afternoon from the residence, Rev. Mr. Ford officiating, and the interment will be in Kitchens Cemetery.

   Mrs.Mildred Owens, aged 72 years, widow of John W. Owens, died at the Macon Hospital at 7 o'clock last night after a seven weeks' illness caused by a fall at her home, in which she sustained a fractured hip. Mrs. Owens had been a resident of Macon for thirty-five years. She resided at No. 216 Shamrock street. Surviving are four daughters and two sons, Mrs. J. K. Gardner, Mrs. A. H. Haynes, Mrs. J. J. Sellman, all of Macon; Mrs. P.C. Sawyer of Alabama; J. D. Owens of Macon and J. W. Owens of Columbus, Ga.
  Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed last night. The funeral will be held some time Friday and interment will be in this city.

MRS. ADDIE REDDING.  ROUND OAK, Ga., April 14 - In the death of Mrs.Addie Redding, who was found dead last Sunday at her home in the Round Oak community, Jones county, lost one of its most highly esteemed and respected women. Mrs. Redding was 64 years of age and the widow of D. S. Redding of Juliette, who at the time of his death was one of the best known citizens of this county and a leader in church work.She was a sister of the late Dr. Ben Frank and George White and an aunt of Dr. Ben White of Round Oak. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at Round Oak Methodist Church. Rev. C. T. Ivey, pastor of the Gray Circuit, officiating, and burial was in the family burying grounds..

LaFayette Balkcom died yesterday at his residence in this city after a short illness. He was 81 years of age, having resided in Macon for about five years, coming here from Jones county, where for many years he was a planter.
    He was a member of the Masonic order and of the R. A. Smith Camp of Confederate Veterans and was wounded three times while in the Confederate service. He was in the army of General Lee in the fighting around Petersburg and Richmond and there received a wound in the throat, from which he never fully recovered.
   The deceased is survied by his wife, two sons, a daughter and three brothers. The funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock this (Tuesday) afternoon at the residence of C. L. Balkcom in Jones county and the interment will be in the family burial ground nearby.

Gray, Ga., Oct. 19 - Mrs. John Hudson, aged 45, died at her home in Aiken, S. C. Monday and was buried here at the family cemetery of H. T. Hudson Wednesday afternoon. Rev. C. T. Ivey conducted the services. Mrs. Hudson leaves her husband, six sons and two daughters.

Gray, Oct. 19 - John Souther, aged 42, died at his home in Gray early Tuesday and funeral services were conducted at the local Baptist church here Wednesday morning by Elder N. R. Hunt of Houston county. Mr. Souther leaves a wife and four children.

   Funeral services of Mrs. F. L. Tyner were held from the residence, 173 Cedar street, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Robert J. Taylor and Rev. Robert L. Wyatt officiated. Interment was in the family lot at James Station. The following served as pallbearers: Joel Bragg, W. W. Merritt, Fores Gober, G. C. Munn, J. O. Hagan and Mack Hagan.

Mrs. L. W. Lowe, 29 years of age, who sustained a broken back two years ago when an automobile in which she was riding turned over near Roberts station, died yesterday at the family home at Gray, Ga.
    Following the accident, Mrs. Lowe was a patient for some time at the Middle Georgia Sanatorium. Surgeons, however, found there was no relief,  her limbs being paralyzed. She had been and invalid ever since and her death is traced to the accident.
  Besides her husband, L. W. Lowe, she is survived by two daughters, Evelyn and Doris; mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Brown, of Roberta; one sister, Mrs. J. C. Striping, of Macon, and three brothers, H. L. Brown, C. J. Brown and Paul Brown, of Macon.
    The funeral will take place at the family cemetery at Roberts at 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jerry Green Lowe were held from the Primitive Baptist church at Gray yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. J. A. Monsees and Elder Ben Williamson conducted the services and the interment was in the Gray cemetery.
  Mrs. Lowe was the young wife of Mr. Jerry Lowe and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Greene, of Gray. The funeral was largely attended.

BONNER IS DEAD. Prominent Jones Countain Passes Away At Gray Home.
  Gray, Ga., May 16. - Judge R. H. Bonner, 67 years of age, died at his residence here tonight shortly after 11 o'clock. He had been ill for about one week. Furneral services will be announced later.
  Judge Bonner was one of the lead churchmen in Jones county. At one time he was a leader in politics and presided over the Court of Ordinary of Jones county for a number of years. He was well-known throughout this section of the State. He had retired from active life a short time ago.
    Besides Mrs. Bonner, he is survived by two sons, J. W. and G. W. Bonner, prominent citizens of Jones county.

  The funeral of J. S. Etheridge was held from the Salem Baptist church near Haddock Wednesday afternoon at 12:25 o'clock. The interment was in Salem church cemetery. Mr. Etheridge died at the Clinic from injuries sustained in an automobile wreck, Monday afternoon.

  HOLD BARFIELD FUNERAL. Wayside Man Who Committed Suicide Buried Yesterday. Gray, Ga., Aug. 15 - Funeral service of Mr. Dauphin H. Barfield, aged 62, of Wayside, in Jones County near Gray, who committed suicide at his home Monday afternoon in a fit of despondency, it is believed, over ill health, were held this afternoon. Interment was held in the family cemetery at the home place at Wayside.
  Mr. Barfield is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Wiley Finney, of Macon; and Mrs. J. F. Childs, of Wayside; two brothers, J. H. Barfield, of Abbeville; and T. L. Barfield, of Milledgeville.

    Gray, Ga., Sept. 3. Miss Carrie Kitchens, aged 19 years, died at her home near Gray Friday night and was buried Saturday at Salem Church. Rev. E. W. Sammons conducting the funeral services.
   She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Kitchens.
  She, together with Joe Etheridge and Miss Adams, of Macon, were injured in an automobile accident in Haddock two months ago. Mr. Etheridge and Miss Adams died just after the accident but Miss Kitchens was able to come home and there was at one time some hope for her recovery.

  The funeral of R. W. Watson was held from the grave in the Stripling Cemetery yesterday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Mr. Ivey officated. Mr. Watson was run over by a truck Saturday night on the Clinton Road and was killed. He was 60 years of age and a resident of Jones County. He leaves two sons and six daughters besides a host of friends.

  Mrs. Izzie Barfield Finney died at 5:40 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home, 106 Cabiness Avenue, after an illness of only two days.
  Mrs. Finney was born in Wayside, Ga., on June 25, 1854, and moved to Macon twenty years ago. She was the widow of Wiley Finney, formerly a merchant of East Macon, who died five years ago.
  Four sons and three daughters survive, Ben P. and Carl Finney, of Macon; Mack Finney of Holten; Grady Finney, of Macon; Mrs. R. R. Woodard, of Douglas, Ga., and Misses Lois and Dauphine Finney, of this city; two brothers, J. J. Barfield, of Abbeville, Ga., and T. L. Barfield, of Milledgeville, Ga., and one sister, Mrs. J. F. Childs, of Wayside, Ga.
  Mrs. Finney was a member of the East Macon Methodist Church. Rev, J. M. Wall, pastor of that church, will have charge of the funeral at the residence at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.

MRS. G. W. ETHEREDGE (ETHERIDGE). Gray, Ga., Oct. 5. Mrs. G. W. Etheredge died at her home near Gray last Tuesday evening and was buried at Salem Church in Jones County on Wednesday, Rev. Mr. Farmer, pastor of the church, conducting the funderal services. She leaves her husband, G. W. Etheredge; two daughters in Atlanta, Mrs. W. L. Lackley and  two daughters and two sons at home, Ruby, Jewell, Grover and Milton. She was 37 years old.

     Funeral services for Thomas J. Dame, aged 63 years, who died Monday, at his home, 2601 Second Street, will be held this morning at 10 o'clock from the residence, Rev. Walter Heard officiating. The Woodmen of the World will have charge of the services at the grave.
     Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Dame was born in Jones County, but had lived in Macon practically all of his life, and for a number of years was engaged in the mercantile business. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Woodmen of the World and Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and also of the Methodist Church. Besides his wife, who was Miss Mattie Jenkins, he is survived by the following children: J. T. Jr; and Aubrey Dame, and Mrs. J. F. Warren, of Macon, and one brother, S. T. Dame, of Forsyth..

  MISS ELIZABETH JARRELL. A large concourse of relatives and sympathizing friends gathered at Caney Church, near Round Oak, yesterday afternoon for the joint funeral of Miss Elizabeth Jarrell, 15-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Jarrell, and the infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Durwood Herndon.
   In the absence of the pastor, Rev. John Glover, an aged pastor of the Primitive Baptist faith, conducted the joint service, paying a beautiful tribute to the life and character of "Miss Bessie." as Miss Jarrell was known.
   The pallbearers for Miss Jarrell were four of her five brothers, Richard, Willie, Milton and Charlie Jarrell.
   Interment of bothh bodies was at the same hour in Caney Church Cemetery.
Note: The child's name was Lilly Lorine Herndon per her death certificate.

Ben F. Moore, a prominent resident of Jones County, and brother of the late C. B. Moore, a former merchant of Macon, died at 7 o'clock yesterday morning at his home near James Station. He was a retired farmer, 71 years of age.
   Mr. Moore is survived by four nephews and two nieces, G. B., J. R. and Mitchell Moore, of Jones County, and C. B. Moore, of Macon; Mrs. Claude Gibson, of East Point, Ga., and Mrs. Tobe Avery, of Jones County.
   The funeral will be held at 12 o'clock noon today at Flat Shoals Cemetery.

Henry M. Martin died at the Macon Hospital yesterday morning at 10 o'clock after an illness of a few days. Pneumonia was the cause of his death. He was born in Twiggs County and was 37 years of age. He leaves a wife, three sons and one daughter. Mr. Martin was the son of George Martin, of Twiggs County. He was a member of the Baptist Church. The body will be taken to Griswoldville for funeral and interment today at noon.

Mrs. T. L. Kitchens died at her home near Griswoldville at 12 o'clock Wednesday after an illness of five days. Mrs. Kitchens was 18 years of age, and the news of her death was a shock. She leaves her husband, T. L. Kitchens, one sister, Miss Mattie Cannon, and ten brothers. Funeral services will be held from Antioch Church this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Harry Northington officiating. Interment will be in the family lot at Antioch Cemetery.

Wily F. Kitchens, 65, a well known farmer in Jones County, died yesterday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock at his home after an illness of three weeks. Besides his wife, Mr. Kitchens is survived by three daughters and five sons, Mrs. Lula Davis, of Macon; Mrs. Ola Kitchens, of Twiggs County; Mrs. Maude Avery, of Jones County; Will and Lumb Kitchens, of Macon; Henry Kitchens, George Kitchens and Charlies Kitchens of Jones County. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, and interment will be in the Smith Cemetery in Jones County, Rev. Tom Hammock officiating.

   Gray,  Ga., April 12. W. M. James, 56, for about twelve or fourteen years tax receiver of Jones County, died at his home in Gray today. Funeral services will he held tomorrow from the residence. Survivors include a wife and two sisters, Mrs. Eldridge, of Macon and Mrs. Bessie Stewart of Jones County.

    Gray, Ga. April 18. J. H. Barron, who was born in Clinton in 1854, died at his home in Hillsboro Monday and was buried Tuesday. Rev. W. E. Purcell, of Shady Dale, conducted the ceremony. Survivors includes his wife and two brothers, W. W. and J. J. Barron, of Clinton, and a sister, Mrs. T. W. Ellis, of Hillsboro.

MRS. MAGDALENE WITHERSPOON. The body of Mrs. Magdalene Gibson Witherspoon, who died Sunday evening at 6 o'clock, was carried to Rockbridge Baths, Va., this morning, where funeral sevices and interment will take place.
  Mrs. Witherspoon was the wife of Rev. E. B. Witherspoon, of Wayside, Ga. Besides her husband Mrs Witherspoon is survived by one son, Gibson Witherspoon, of Waysie, and one daughter, Mrs. James A. Patterson, of Roanoke, Va.

 George Washington Kitchens, 63 years of age, died at his home on the Thomaston road, near Macon, yesterday. Mr. Kitchens had been ill one week. Besides his wife, Mr. Kitchens is survived by five sons, W. E. Kitchens, of Jacksonville, Fla., T. L. Kitchens, of Chicago  M. H. Kitchens of Jones County; J. W. Kitchens, of Macon and A. E. Kitchens, and five daughters, Mrs. S. W. Warde, of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. J. E. Jordan of Lorane; Mrs. P. Redd of Cross Keys; Mrs. L. Renew, of Camp Wheeler, and Mrs. R. L. Mixon, of Camp Wheeler. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at Pitts Chapel. Rev. Sutton will officiate and interment will be in the Kitchens cemetery..

   Gray, Ga., Aug. 18. Thomas Herndon, aged about 65, died at the home of his son, in the upper part of Jones County Thursday and was buried Friday. Elder T. C. Hammock conducted the funeral services.
   Survivors include a son, Derwood Herndon.

Gray, Ga. June 6. Miss Nina Blow, aged 82 years, died at the home of Mrs. Henry Souther, in Gray, Thursday. Funeral services were conducted in the afternoon, Rev. C. T. Ivey, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating.
   Miss Blow was the third of three sisters to live to be 80 or more. None were married.

   Gordon, Ga., July 30. Kelsey Stevens, 20, who died of an accidentally self-inflicted wound, was laid to rest at Bethlehem Church Monday afternoon at 2:30. He is survived by his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Stevens, five brothers, Barney, Robert and Kenneth, of Milledgeville; Tommie and Julian Stevens of Gordan, two sisters Mrs. C. H. Haddock and Mrs. L. J. Lavender, of Gordon.
   Mr. Stevens was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. His pastor, Rev. W. D. Dewell, officiated at his funeral.

MRS. J. T. WILLIAMS CALLED Funeral of Round Oak Woman Will Be Held Tomorrow.
   Round Oak, Ga, Oct. 11 - Mrs. J. T. Williams, 66 years of age, one of the most prominent women of this vicinity, died at her home here this afternoon at 1 o'clock. She was born and reared in Jones County, before her marriage being Miss Annie Barrow, members of a well-known Georgia family. In 1875, she graduated from Wesleyan College and was a member of the Philomathean Society, now the Phi Mu Sorority. In 1879 she married John T. Williams, also, a lifelong resident of this county.
   Funeral services will be held tomorow morning at 10 o'clock from the Round Oak Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Williams was a devout member. Rev. Augustus Ernest, of Monticello Methodist Church, former pastor of Mrs. Williams, and Rev. E. W.  Sammons, of Gray, officiating. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. E. K. Baxter, of Decatur, Ga., and Mrs. J. Lovie Benton, of Monticello; three sons, W. E. Williams of Haddock; C. P. Williams, of Round Oak, and B. E. Williams, of Little Rock, Ark; six grandchildren and one brother, J. W. Barrow, of Round Oak.

T. J. BAZEMORE IS DEAD. Confederate Veteran Will Be Buried Near Wayside This Afternoon.
   T. J. Bazemore, Confederate veteran, died suddenly at his home in the Rutland District at 2 o'clock yesterday morning. He was in his eighty-first year and up to the first of this year had been active for a man of his age, visiting friends in Macon and in Jones County at intervals.
    On the first day of January Mr. Bazemore was taken ill, and although he received he best medical attention, he steadily grew weaker. He would not give up, nor take to his bed.
   Mr. Bazemore was born in Jones County, but had lived in the Rutland District for three years. He was a member of the R. A. Smith Camp, Confederate Veterans, and was a deacon in the Caney Creek Primitive Baptiist Church ofJones County,  where he had resided practcally all of his life.
   Mr. Bazemore was highly esteemed, and hs friends say that he was a man withhout an enemy or a fault.
  He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. H. J. Fincher, of Rutland District; a brother, W. L. Bazemore of West Palm Beach, Fla., and two sisters, Mrs. W. T. Curreu, of Moultrie, and Miss Alice Bazemore, of this city.
     The funeral and interment will take place at the Smith Cemetery, near Wayside, Jones County, this afternoon at 2 'oclock, Elder Gordon Wright officiating.
     The funeral procession will leave his home this morning at 8 o'clock and pass through Macon about 9 a.m., when friends who wish to attend the funeral may join the procession.

   Haddock, Ga., Jan. 22. Mrs. Laura Lawrence Dismuke, aged 78 years, wife of the late G. T. Dismuke, is dead. She is survived by one son, J. G. Dismuke, of Augusta; one brother, D. L. Lawrence, of Eatonton; one sister, Mrs. Mat Williams, of Haddock; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Interment was in the family lot in the Milledgeville Cemetery, Rev. Warnock, of the Milledgeville Baptist Church, officiating.
  Mrs. Dismuke was maker her home with her granddaughter, Mrs. G. P. Middlebrooks, of Haddock, at whose residence she died.

Mrs. L. E. Bragg, 87, died yesterday at the residence of a son, J. P. Bragg, 593 Duncan Avenue, from a stroke of apoplexy which she suffered Monday noon while eating. She had been ill with la grippe since the Friday night preceding.
   Mrs. Bragg was an active member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
   She is survived by six sons, W. A. Bragg, of Gray, Ga; W. F. Bragg, of Hawkinsville, Ga; George M. Bragg and J. T. Bragg, of Americus, Ga; and W. T. Bragg, of Macon; two daughters, Mrs. L. Monroe Jones and Mrs. Chester W. Joens, of Macon. She also is survived by thirty-six grandchildren and forty-two great-grandchildren.
   The funeral will be held from the residence of J. P. Bragg, 503 Duncan Avenue, at 3 o'clock this afternoon. Elder Yancey Hicks, of Roberta, Ga. assisted by Rev. H. M. Fugate, of Tattnall Squar Baptist Church, officiating.

J. J. Kitchens, 88, pioneer resident of Griswoldville, Ga., died at his home at 10 o'clock yesterday morning. Death came after an illness of three weeks.
   He was a member of the Forty-fifth Georgia Regiment in the Civil War and was wounded in the Second Battle of Mannassas. He was a member of E. A. Smith Camp, Confederate  veterans, Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Kitchens had in the past been among the most prosperous farmers of his community.
   Two daughters and five sons survive: Mrs. E. P. Stewart, Macon: Mrs. E. F. Crosby, Griswoldville; J. C., T. E. and Claude Kitchens, of Griswoldville; H. M. Kitchens, of Macon, and R. L. Kitchens, of Dry Branch; also 32 grand children and nine great grand children; two brothers, Myers Kitchens of Gray, and Bill Kitchens. of Griswoldville.
   Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the residence, Rev. Harry Northington, of Macon, officiating. Interment will be in the family cemetery.

Thomas Lee Hysler died at the Macon hospital Monday morning at 1 o'clock, after an illness of two months. He was 58 years of age and was born in Jones County. He had lived in this city 42 years, moving here when a young boy.
   Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Murphy Hysler, three daughters and one son; Mrs. Hubert Ledbetter, Atlanta; Mrs. Claud Akeridge, Atlanta; Mrs. Alton Reddy, Jacksonville, Fla., and John Hysler, of Macon; three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Mary Huff, Haddock, Ga.; Mrs. C. T. Brown, Macon, and Miss Minnie Hysler, of Macon;  W. J. Hysler, of Lakeland, Fla., and G. B. Hysler, of Macon.
   Funeral services will be held from Hart's chapel this morning at 10 o'clock. Interment wil be in Cedar Ridge cemetery. The following will sere as pallbearers: J. B. Griffin, George Bush, Albert Bush, Sidney Glissonn, Charles T. Brown and R. W. Freeman.

Mrs. Ella Bivins, widow of the late J. T. Bivins, prominent Jones County Planter, died Saturday night at her home in Jeffesonville, after an extended illness, and was interred at 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon in Jeffersonville. Mrs. Bivins was in her seventies.
   Surviving are four sons: J. T., Jr., Homer, Clifford and J. C. Bivins, and five daughters: Mrs. O. R. Bonner and Mrs. Kate Harris, both of Cleveland, Tex.; Mrs. R. W. Lester, Macon; Mrs. William Rice, Baldwin County, and Mrs. J. P. Califf, of Jeffersonville.

Jernigan Crosby, well known planter of Griswoldville, Ga., died at an early hour there yesterday morning after a week's illness. Mr. Crosby was 74 years old and was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are the following sisters: Mrs. Della Evans, of Griswoldville; Mrs. Ida Martin, Mrs. Georgia Ann Abner and Mrs. Abbie Lee Nichols. Funeral and interment took place at the Crosby Cemtery yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. B. W. Dewell, officiated.

JONES FARMER IS DEAD. R. B. Brown, 65, farmer, died early last night at his home in Gray, Ga., after a long illness. He had been a resident of
Jones County all his life.
    Mr. Brown is survivied by his wife; two sons, H. L. Brown, of Macon, and Paul Brown, of Gray; one daughter, Mrs. J. C. Stripling, and two brothers, J. T. Brown, of Haddock, Ga., and H. L. Brown, of Jacksonville, Fla.
   Services will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the residence. Interment will be in the family cemetery, at Gray.

   Hillsboro, Ga., Sept 28. J. H. Walker, 70, formerly of Round Oak Ga., was fatally injured in Tampa, Fla., when he was struck by a truck, Sept. 15.
  At the time of the accident, Mr. Walker was visiting with his daughter, Miss Ione, who is a teacher in the public schools of Tampa. The body was interred in the family lot at Round Oak, Ga., Sunday afternoon, Sept. 19.
   Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Underwoood, of Monticello Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. E. W. Sammons, Baptist minister of Gray. The pallbearers were
E. F. Walker, Macon, Ga.; J. M. Walker, Jr., Lizella, Ga; John Wilder, Macon, Ga.; Roland Holloway, Macon, Ga., nephews of the deceased; Thomas White, of Round Oak, Ga., and John White, of Hillsboro, Ga., close friends of the family.
   Mr. Walker was born and reared in Crawford County, Ga., where he made his home until his marriage to Miss Louise Reeves, in 1892. He moved to Jones County, where he engaged in farmeing near Round Oak, until three years ago, when he moved to Hillsboro. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for more than forty years.
  He is survived by his widow, three children, Mrs. Harvie L. Mercer, Hillsboro, Ga.; Mrs. Alva Gresham, Cal.; Miss Ione B. Walker, 3297 Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa, Fla. Two sisters, Mrs. Martha Wilder, Roberta, Ga.; Mrs. W. T. Raines, 200 College Place, Macon, Ga.; one brother J. V. Walker, Roberta, Ga., and four small grandchildren.

  Luther Kitchens, aged three and a half years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Kitchens, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon after an illness of three days. Besides the parents, four sisters and three brothers survive. The family lives in Jones County, where the funeral services will be held. The arrangments have not been completed for the funeral.

ROBERT BRADLEY DIES SUDDENLY. Jones County Peach Grower to Be Buried Today. WELL KNOW IN MID-STATE
Robert Lee Bradley, one of the best known planters and peach growers in middle Georgia, died suddenly of a heart attack at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home at Bradley. He was in his sixieth year.
   Mr. Bradley was feeling badly yesterday morning and came to Macon to consult physicians. Here he was advised to got to a hospital for treatment and he had decided to yield to their wishes, but wanted to go home first. He went home, informed his wife of his plans and was about to leave his house and enter an automobile for the trip back to Macon, when he fell across the bed and expired.
   Born in Jones County on Sept. 6, 1857, Mr. Bradley had spent his entire life in that county, developing one of the best fruit farms of that county. He had been successful as a planter and peach grower and had many friends throughout this section.
  He was a member of the Sincerity Lodge, No. 430, F. and A. M. at Gray and of the Wolihin Chapter, Royal Arch Masons of this city.
   He was a son of the late John and Anna Franks Bradley.
    Besides his wife he is survived by three grown children, Mrs. Mary Dee Porter, of Bishop, Ga.; Robert A. and Dudley Hammond Bradley, of Bradley; two brothers, T. F. Bradley, of Bradley, and Charles B. Bradley, of Clerwater, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. W. W. Barron, of Clinton.
    The funeral will take place at the Bradley Methodist Episcopal Church this afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. T. W. Ellis officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Lula Miller Epps, widow of W. V. Epps, died at a private hospital Monday morning at 10:10 o'clock. Mrs. Epps had been ill six weeks and little hope was held for her recovery the past few days. She was a resident of 619 Second Street having moved to this city 10 year ago from Fitzpatrick, Ga. Mr. Epps died April 2, 1926.
   Mrs. Epps reached her sixty-fifth year on March 19. She was born in Jones County, and her parents were Jeremiah Miller and Amanda Smith Miller, of Jones County.
   Mrs. Epps was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons and two daughters: A. R. Epps, of Atlanta ; J. M. Epps, Mrs. C. J. Bjork and Miss Amanda Epps, all of Macon. Funeral services will be held from the residence this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, Rev. A. C. Baker, pastor of the Tabernacle Church, officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Elbina Ethridge Pitts, wife of W. T. Pitts, died at 12;45 o'clock Sunday night at her home 423 Forest avenue, after an illness of three years.
    Mrs. Pitts was thirty-eight years of age and born in Jones county, September 29, 1888. Seven years ago Mr. and Mrs. Pitts moved to Macon from James, Ga.
    Besides her husband, W. T. Pitts, she leaves a son, Warren Pitts, 6; mother, Mrs. Cordelia Ethridge, of James; four brothers and three sisters, G. E. Ethridge,
J. B. and H. L. Ethridge, of James, Ga.; G. B. Ethridge of Macon; Mrs. E. E. Valentine, of James, and Mrs. J. C. Balkcom, of James. Before her marriage she was Miss Elbina Ethridge, of Jones conty, she was a member of the Vineville Methodist church.
   The body will be taken to James, Ga., this morning, leaving Hart's chapel at 9:15 o'clock. Rev. Roy Hurst, assistant pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist church, will conduct the funeral services at 11 o'clock at the family resident. The interment will be in the cemetery at James, Ga.

  Funeral services for Mrs. Ora (Opra) Ann Finney, widow of Oliver Perry Finney were held from the Clinton Methodist church, Jones county, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. H. R. Webb, pastor of First Street Methodist church and Rev. T. W. Ellis, of the North Georgia conference officiating. Interment took place in the family lot in the church cemetery. The following nephews of Mrs. Finney were pallbearers, R. R., W. M., C. W., and Dorsey Holsenbeck, James M. Ross, Barlett Ross, W. E. Morgan and J. H. Morgan.

Joel F. Godard, of 302 Mercer street, died at an early hour yesterday morning. Mr. Godard had made his home here with his nephew, H. C. Marshall, for the past several months., He had been ill a long time and was an invalid for months.
    Mr. Godard was 73 years of age and born in Jones county. Before his health failed he was engaged in farming. Besides Mr. Marshall he leaves several other nephews and nieces. He joined the Methodist church many years ago.
   Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church at Haddock, Ga., this morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. J. K. Kelly, of Haddock will officiate. Interment will be in the family lot in Fortville cemetery near Haddock. The remains will be taken from Hart's chapel at 9:30 o'clock this morning to be carried to Haddock.

   The funeral services of Benjamin F. Mason were held at the Baptist church at Bradley, Ga., yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. J. J. Winburn and Rev. R. D. Carrin officiated. Interment was in the Bradley cemetery. Mr. Mason died at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at his home at Gray, Ga., after an illness of three weeks. He was 80 years of age and a pioneer resident of Jones county. He leaves a large family and a host of friends to deplore his death.

Mrs. Caroline Lester, widow of J. B. Lester, died at an early hour yesterday morning at the home of her niece, near Haddock, Ga., after an illness of only a few days.
     Mrs. Lester is survived by one son, J. W. Lester, of Macon, and by one nephew, Ellis Lester, and one niece, Inez Lester of Haddock.
    Funeral services were held yesterday mornng at 11 o'clock at the Baptist church near Haddock. Interment was made in Jones-Salem cemetery.

Miss Lottie Couch, resident of Wayside, Ga., died at the family residence at 2 o'clock yesterday morning after an illness of one week. Miss Couch was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Couch, of Wayside.
    Besides the parents, nine brothers and three sisters survive: Earnest, Ralph, Bud, Jack, Robert, Horace, Caldwell, Johnnie, Whitton and  Misses Ruth, Vivian and Alice Couch.
    Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the Bradley Methodist church, Rev. Mr. Maning officiating. Interment will be in the cemetery at Bradley.

~excerpt~ The body of Clancey Finney, who  died in Atlanta, early yesterday morning arrived here  at 7:50 o'clock last night and was taken to the chapel of Connally and Pitts, 718 Cherry street.
   Mr. Finney was born and reared in Jones county, but had resided in Macon for many years maintaining his residence at 144 Holt street. He was a traveling salesman, representing a book concern.
   He is survivedby one brother, R. L. Finney, of this city; three nephews and three nieces, P. S., R. A. and C. B. Finney, of Macon; Mrs. H. Berliner, of Macon; Mrs. W. R. Battle, of Mt. Dora, Fla., and Miss Bessie Finney, of Macon.
   The funeral will occur at Clinton Methodist church on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. T. W. Ellis officiaing. Interment will be in the family lot there.

  W. S. MOUGHON DEATH VICTIM. Well-Known Haddock Man Succumbs After Short Illness.
   William Sanford Moughon died at his home at Haddock, Ga., at 7:10 o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Moughon had been ill only three days. He was widely known in this state and also in Alabama.
   Mr. Moughon was born in Haddock, July 3, 1869. Later he moved to Macon  and was married to Miss Mallie Coleman, a member of one of Macon's most prominent families. Mr. Moughon ws the son of the late W. S. Moughon and Alice Wyche Moughon, also a prominent family of this city.
   Lived in Birmingham. Mr. Moughon lived in Birmingham, Ala., for several years and was manager of the Armour and Company's plant there. He was owner of a large plantation and peach farm at Haddock.
   Surviving are his wife, two daughters and two sons: Mrs. George L. Morris and Mrs. Robert Schuler, of Birmingham, Ala.; J. Coleman Moughon and W. S. Moughon, Jr., of Haddock. two brothers and two sisters: L. J. Moughon, of Haddock, and Thomas Moughon, of Birmingham; Mrs. P. W. Bonner, of Taliapoosa, Ala.; Mrs. Ed Van Buren, of Plainsfield, N. J.; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was an active member of the Methodist church.
   The body was brought to Macon and prepared for burial, and then taken to Birmingham, Ala., in the afternoon for funeral and interment. The funeral services will be held today at Birmingham.

 James Eugene Tyner, six-year-old (six-week-old)  son of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Tyner, died at a local hospital early yesterday morning.
   The baby was born Nov. 27, 1928, and death came as the result of meningitis, the little boy having been ill only  day and a half. He is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs Tyner, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Tomlin, of Crawford county, and Mr. C. M. Tyner, of Wayside, Ga. The funeral was held yeserday afternoon at 2:30 at Cannin (Caney) Creek church,
Rev. Wll Green conducting the services. Interment was at Cannin Creek  (Caney Creek) church in Jones. County.

    Jess Willard Avery, four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Avery, of James, Ga., died at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters and one brother, Grace, Archie, and Jim, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Kitchens, of Baldwin county.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock this morning at James, and interment will be in James Cemetery.

Ivey L. Harris, a prominent planter of Gray, Ga., died yesterday morning at 9:30 o'clock at a local hospital, after an illness of two weeks.
   Mr Harris was born and reared in Jones county. He was a member of the Methodist church and of the Masonic lodge of Gray.
  He is survived by two sisters, Miss Annie Harris, of Gray, and Mrs. William Johnson, of Meridian, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 from the grave in Harris cemetery, in Jones county. Rev. Mr. Kelley, pastor of the Methodist church of Gray, will conduct the services. The Masonic lodge of Gray will have charge of concluding services. Interment will be in the family lot.

   Mrs. Lula B.Herndon, 68, widow of G. W. Herndon, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her daughter Mrs. N. H. Odom, 1004 Napier avenue. Mrs. Herndon had been sick about three weeks. She was born and reared in Jones county but the family moved to Macon when a little girl. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. N. H. Odom and Mrs. B. M. Person, of Macon; two grandchildren, Doris and Hazel Odom; three sisters and two brothers, of Gray, and Miss Martha Butler, of Jones county; R L. Butler, of Walden, and Jeff Butler, of Atlanta.
    She was the daughter of the late Clark Butler and Nancy Cleveland Butler, pioneer residents of Jones county. The funeral services will be held at 5:30 o'clock this Monday afternoon from Hart's chapel. Rev. Charles M. Brewer, pastor of Cherokee Baptist church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Tempey Wood Sharp(e), wife of Mr. H. S. Sharp (e), who died Tuesday nigh, will be held at 4 o'clock this afternoon from the residence, 107 Jones avenue. Rev. John W. Ballard, pastor of the Second Baptist church will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Wood cemetery in Jones county.

Francis F. Green, 88, prominent farmer of Jones county, died yesterday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock at his residence at Gray. He was born on May 15, 1841.
  Mr. Green was a member of Company B., 12th Georgia infantry of the Confederate army. and served during the War Betwen the States. He had been ill only two days.
   Three daughters and three sons survive: Mrs. Henry Glover, Kathleen; Mrs. M. E. Wells, Macon; Mrs. J. M. Childs, Gray; J. L. Green, Knoxville; W. B. Green, Vienna, and F. W. Green, of Texas.
  The funeral will be held at 5 o'clock at Gray this afternoon.

Lum M. Kitchens, 49, a farmer, formerly of Jones county, died at 8:10 o'clock last night at his home 1430 Third street.
   Besides his wife, who was Miss Bessie Smallwood, he is survived by two sons and two daughter, Coleman and Harrold, Misses Louise and Mary Kitchens; mother Mrs. Wiley Kitchens; four brothers, Will, Charles, George and Henry Kitchens; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Avery, Jones county; Mrs. Frank Davis, Bibb county, and Mrs. Jack Kitchens, Twiggs county. Several grandchildren also survive.
  Mr. Kitchens had been in bad health for five months, but had ben seriously ill only two weeks. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
