This document contains an abstract of the deeds of William Dover (with one of Frederick Dover and one of E.B. Dover). William's wife was Alanthey Chambers, daughter of James Chambers. A number of the children of William Dover claimed to be of Indian descent through the Chambers' line, but all claims were rejected.
William Dover's father was Frederick Dover from York, SC and Rutherford, NC. I'm not certain if the E.B. Dover deed is Elijah Benson Dover who was in Habersham County OR Edmund Bryan Dover, William's brother, who was also in Lumpkin County, Ga.
I have jpg images of the original documents. If anyone wants a jpg, I'll be happy to send it.
