This indenture made this December 29th 1856 in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred an fifty six between Everet Shuffield of Lumpkin County and State of Georgia of the one part an Rebecken Carnes Daughter of the said Everet Shuffield of the same of the other part Witnesseth that the Said Everet Shuffield of an consideration of The natuaral love and affection which she has used leaves to his said Daughter Rebecken Carnes and forever in consideration of the sum Of five dollars cash in hand paid by the said Rebecken Carnes receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledges given granted an does by there presents Give an grant unto the said Rebecca Carnes her heirs an assigns as part Of lot of [land No.] twenty eight lying an being her the first District of Hambersham now Lumpkin County beginning at the crops Mary ? on the Noheaded Branch running near a South course with the P.S.
