Eaton Family
James Albert Eaton, born 1853 in Lumpkin County, GA, was the
first son of William Aylor Eaton and Rutha Long. Rutha (left) was born in 1837 in
Haywood County, NC. James' wife, Cassandra Crow (right), was born in 1866 in Lumpkin
County. Several Eaton families are in Habersham County records from 1820-1830.
During the mid 1830s, they are living in the Yahoola/Eaton's District of Lumpkin County.
In the late 1850s, many of these linked families left Lumpkin County to settle in
Winston County, AL (where this photo was taken after 1900).
