Stewart CountyThis indenture made this twenty fourth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty four between Rutha J. & Brazil H. Meadors of the county and state aforesaid of the one part and Isham Mury of the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Rutha J. & Brazil H. Meadors, for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, and conveyed and does by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Isham Murry, his heirs and assigns, all thta tract of parcel of land situated, lying and being in the county of Madison and State aforesaid on the watters of Holly Creek containing two thirds it being their interest in one hundred two and 3/10 acres more or less, beginning at a gum corner on said creek and running thence south fifty three east thirty eight chains and eighty two links to pine corner, thence north twenty one east thirty nine chains and forty five links to a post oak corner, thence a short distance to a hickory corner, thence north forty nine and a half west twenty two chains and forty links to a rock corner, then south thirty two west twenty chains and twelve links to a hickory corner, thence along meanderings of the creek to the beginning corner, adjoining lands of Samuel Long, Moon, and William Eberhart and others, to have and to hold the above described tract or parcel of land unto him the said Isham Murry his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights, members, and apurtanances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Rutha J. and Brazil W. Meadors for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators the said bargained premeses together with the rights, titles and possessions thereof unto the said Isham Murry, his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever. In testemony whereof the said Rutha J. & Brazil W. Meadors hath hereunto set there hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.
