For commutation of rations while on furlough (30) days
from 21st July 1862 to 20th August 1862, by extension of the same
by Surgeon Certificate at two different times for thirty
days each (60) days, making in all (90) days at 33 cents per day
for (30) days from 20th August 1862 to 19th Sept 1862, Again by
Surgeon Certificate from 19th of Sept to 19th Oct (30) days, making
in all (90) days at 33 cents per day..............................

I certify that the above account is correct, that the
commutation was made by my order, and was necessary for the public
service, it being impracticable to take rations in kind.
