the Murray County area that have records useful for family research. If
you write to a record source/agency, be specific in the information you
are requesting, and limit your request to one or two items.

Publishes a Quarterly that covers the following counties: DADE,
WALKER,
CATOOSA, CHATTOOGA, FLOYD, POLK, HARALSON, CARROLL, WHITFIELD, GORDON,
BARTOW, PAULDING, DOUGLAS, COBB, CHEROKEE, PICKENS, GILMER, FANNIN,
MURRAY,
UNION, LUMPKIN, DAWSON, FORSYTH, TOWNS, WHITE, HALL, HABERSHAM and
RABUN.
All past quarterlies can be found at the Rome/Floyd County Public
Library or can be purchased for $5.00 each through the Society.
Membership
is open to all at a cost of $15.00 each year. The year runs from Jan 1
thru Dec 31. Meetings are held 4 times each year and are open to all.
Quarterlies
are mailed 4 times each year in January, April, July and October.
Members
may publish as many Queries as they want or need to free. Non-members
may
publish a Query for $2.00 each. Queries should be mailed to Shirley
Kinney,

Members and non members are invited to submit any material they would
like
published that covers the above counties especially or if that county
had
people that moved to a another state (example-A lot of people from
Cass/Bartow
county moved to Atlanta, Cass County, Texas in the 1800's). Material or
