Hubbard
Would like to correspond with anyone who has Paulding County HUBBARD family records.
Especially, at the present, need the birth and death dates of the children of Clement Evans HUBBARD and spouse, Patience Elizabeth STROUD. I visited Clement Evans HUBBARD in his home at Wesley Woods Towers about 1982 or three and he had a family bible which had the birth, marriages and deaths of many of our relatives. Would like to know who has that bible and if that individual would get in touch with me so I can copy the names and dates he recorded therein. I was able to discern from his records that we have the same great grand father but felt imposing as they were both elderly.
I have the names of his children:
1(F) Patience Stroud HUBBARD
2(M) William Evans HUBBARD born 1825 Paulding County GA died 8 June 2000 (?)
3(M) David Stroud HUBBARD
4(M)) Joseph Carroll HUBBARD
5(F) Anita HUBBARD
Was Benjamin Woodson HUBBARD the father of Vinson HUBBARD? Vinson is my great grandfa. It seems that every couple down through several generations named their sons Benjamin or Woodson or both who ever lived in that particular area of Georgia.

King, John I am a decendant from John King from Jackson County, found in the 1850 cesus b 1822 and listed as a Tanner. The Battle of King's Tan yard occured there. It was the last battle of the Stonemans raid. I have been researching for a long time trying to determine who his father was. There was a John King listed in 1820, 1830 and 1840 Gwinnett County that we have always suspected as the most likely posibilty to be his father. I recently tracked him to the 1850 Paulding County cesus, listed as b in 1792 SC m to Henrietta (Brown). There is a John King next to him on the (Paulding) census around the same age as our John King, but might not be a son. I've lost any trace of him after 1850 and was wondering if maybe he may have died and left a will in Paulding County. I would appreciate any help. Also I live in Jackson County, Ga near the courthouse, if you are anyone else need look ups.............Thank You

Kiser, George and Mindy (Lambret) I am researching George and Mindy (Lambret) Kiser; He was born about 1823 NC and she was born about 1829 Ga. They lived in Paulding County. They had 11 children according to the 1900 census and 8 living children. George died between the 1880 and 1900 census, for he was listed in the 1880 census but the 1900 census shows Mindy living with son Joseph and his wife Victoria. Each census listed different children and their birth year was a little different. There was a Catherine born about 1855 - 1858 also an Elizabeth in the 1860 census I believe her and Catherine are the same person, Catherine was listed in the 1870 census and Elizabeth in the 1860, there was also a Mary born 1850, Margaret 1851, Robert and John R are the same person, George and Burton are the same person. There was a Julia in the 1870 2 months old and a Sarah in 1870 and 1880. I am having a time deciphering these children and what happened to them some I have found .............Thanks

LAYTON, Jonathan I have come to brick wall in my search for my ancestors. I am searching for information on Jonathan Layton, born 1810 in South Carolina (I believe). He was married to Ruth (I have no last name) they had 3 or 4 children born in South Carolina (possibly Spartanburg) and then about 1842 they moved to the Chattooga area in Georgia. There were children born in Georgia, names of children, Adaline b-1839, Malissa b-1838, Frances b-1841, Joshua b-1844, Mary b-1843, Ann b-1846, Ruth b1847, James w b-1851, these names are from census 1850 and 1860, in 1860 census the name is spelled Leighton and Ruth is spelled Ruthie, also she is head of household, Jonathan is no longer there, I dont know if he died or was just not there at the time of the census, possibly due to the civil war, but I dont find him in any other census after either. My great grandfather is James W and I find him in all census after that. He moved to east Texas in 1910 and brought all his family except a daughter named Ruth who chose to stay in Summerville Georgia. I did find a Jonathan Layton in 1840 census in Spartanburg, but it dosent give names other than head of household. If anyone has any information on this I would be grateful for any help. Thank you

Pharr, William E.
William was my gr. gr grandfather. He gives being born 1838 but was born 1845. His family is enumerated twice on the 1850 Cherokee County census. His family is on the 1840 Jackson County census. His brother who served in Maxwell artillery in the 38 Georgia was born 1838. There was a brother between them but must have died. I can't find the family on the 1860 census but do find his brother John who I said enlisted in the 38 Ga. William is listed as age 5 on both forms of the 1850 census. There were 5 sisters and someone says all lived to be adults and married. I have never been able to trace them. My guess is they settled in Spalding and Cobb county or near them. As I said William's brother Robert born about 1840 must have died and I can find no trace of them. William father Edward Pharr had several brothers who settled near Lost Mountain and one is burried at Midway Presbyterian Church. Edward must have died in Gwinnett and William died in Atlanta and is burried on Cascade Road. If you would like any more on this family please let me know.
