Thomas Pryor "Tip" Barnes
and Elizabeth Virginia "Kittie" Strange Barnes on their wedding day,
May 4, 1861.
Tip enlisted in Co. G, 5th Ga. Inf. exactly one week later on May
11th. Kittie was the daughter of Charner Bell Strange and Nancy
Elizabeth Goodson. Kittie was born in 1844 and died about 1877
giving birth to twins.
Tip was born in 1839 and died 12 Oct 1905. Both are buried in
Ellavile cemetery.
