Last Will and Testament of Frank C. Ellis

I Frank C. Ellis , Sr. being of sound mind and memory, do make and declare this my last will and testament.

Part 1. I will that my just debts, if any are outstanding, be paid after my death, with as little delay as practicable.

Part 2. I will that my old home place at 924 West Taylor St., Griffin, Ga. And the adjoining vacant lot corner Taylor and Sixteenth Streets, be given to my wife, Annie C. Ellis.

Part 3. I will that Frank Jr., my son be given a Government bond to be purchased for him by my wife from proceeds from my life insurance, she to decide the denomination of said bond and in making the decision to consider her own financial conditions.

Part 4. I will that my lots on Collins Street, together with all improvements, be given to my wife, Annie C. Ellis.

Part 5. I will and devise that all my personal property, of whatsoever nature, including personal effects, life insurance, Government bonds, monies held in the retirement fund from my salary be given to my wife Annie C. Ellis, she to be the sole judge in the future handling and disposition of the same.

Part 6. I will and designate my wife Annie C. Ellis to act as executor of this will and without bond or appraisers, or inventory, but request that she make a final return to the ordinary of Spalding County, Georgia.

Part 7. I will that in case my wife should preceed me in death that each and every request, bequeath and grant provided in this will, convert to my son, Frank Jr. , and all my worldly goods and property be given to him under the same provisions as set out in Part 6 Hereof.

In testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and seal this 12th day of October, 1947, at Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by Frank C. Ellis Sr. , to be his last will and testament, he signed in our presence, and we signing in his presence, and at his request, and in the presence of each other this 12th day of October 1947, at Griffin Ga.
