With a stipulation to pay 10%  Attorneys fees should the notes be put in the hands of an attorney for collection.  Now to better secure the payment of said matter I do here by pledge and mortgage to the said Griffin Banking Co. the following described real estate to wit:  All that tract lot or parcel of land situated lying and being in the City of Griffin and County of Spalding, said and being a part of lot four in square no. 14 of the plan of City of Griffin and being more fully distinguished by being twenty six feet off of the West side of the present lot of Mrs. M.E. Crittinden and fronting on Chappel Street twenty six feet & running back two hundred and ten feet to an alley.  This strip of land same length & width and just East and adjoining the land being heretofore bought by me from Mrs. M.E. Crittenden.  And I J. H. Huff do covenant that the said strip of land is not encumbered (in any) way whatsoever.  And as against the debt to secure for which this mortgage is given I J H Huff do hereby waive and renounce on behalf of myself and family all rites to homestead in or out of said property .  In Witness whereof, I J H Huff do hereby set my hand and seal this 2^nd day of January 1892.
