Rev. Crowe was born in Forsyth County, Georgia. When quite young he was elected Superintendent of the Sunday school of the local Church where he was converted.

Rev. Crowe was licensed to preach Aug. 23, 1890 and in full connection Nov. 1902. Rev. Crowe was twice married. His first marriage to Miss Molly McGuier of Paulding County, Ga. Three children came to bless this home, two of which passed away. The wife passed in 1900. On May 29, 1901 he married Mrs. Ester Shackleford of Coweta County, Ga. Seven children blessed this union, all of whom including his wife, survive him.

His life was an inspiration to all who knew him. It has been said by one who knew him that: "He had a fine sense of humor, hence he was sociable. He was fervently religious. It is to be doubted if any in many years more appreciated being a member of the North Ga. Conference than did he."
