columned center portia

Hip roof to deck. Inside

Architect - Builder:

Present Condition:     Good. Wide arch on either side of Ball to front room, now filled in with recent woodwork. Concrete porch and steps, extension of porch beyond columns, walk; - all obviously recent.

Number of stories:     Two.

Materials and Construction:     Foundation brick. Wood floors. Walls presumably of brick, stuccoed. Composition shingled roof.

Other existing records:

Additional data:     Original brown stucco lined now painted white and lines almost obliterated. Walls 16" thick. Four square columned center portico with pediment. Hip roof to deck. Inside chimneys.

While home of Mrs. Emily Lewis many famous people entertained here, including Alexander Stephens and Robert Toombs. Now used as boarding house.
