Dr. J. H. Eakes Dies
     Many people in this section will feel with sorrow the news of the decease of Rev. Dr. J. H. Eakes, presiding elder of the Griffin district of the Methodist church, who died suddenly October 25, after a service at Griffin. Dr. Eakes is a brother-in-law of Hon. R. P. Lester, of this city. Dr. Eakes was 66 and highly honored as a churchman and a gentleman.
