LOCAL NEWS
 
Mr. Jas. Waldrop, an elderly citizen of the community, died Monday night after a long illness, aged 61. He came originally from Griffin where he had resided a number of years and where he was held in high esteem.

He is survived by his wife and six children, the latter being Mrs. G. Hicks of Birmingham, W.R. Waldrop of Jacksonville, J.B. Waldrop of Newnan, Mrs. T.E. Ratteree of Dallas, J.T. Waldrop and Mrs. J.N. Hicks of Griffin.

The remains were carried to Rockmart for interment.
