Black -- 5; 7; 8; 9; 11; 12; 14; 16; 17; 18; 19; 20; 21; 23; 25; 27; 29; 31

 

In some instances persons of one race were entered in a Book of the other race.

 

All other Books (34 through 38 and A & B) are mixed.    Book 33 was not used.

 

 

                                          Missing Years

 

In 1838 the last entry was April 28.  No Licenses until 10 February 1849 have been found. 

The WPA workers indexing the marriage licenses stated they had searched every record but none

of the missing licenses were found.
