Hogansville: Married, by Rev. W.W. Kelly, at the residence of the bride's father, Dr. G.L. Hudson, on Wednesday, January 4th, Dr. Robert H. Jenkins and Miss Virginia L. Hudson, all of Hogansville. The attendants were Dr. W.D. Boozer and Miss Dorn McCombs, Mrs. C.H. Ragland and Miss Sallie Hicks.
Take her, but be faithful still.
Ah! may the bridal vow,
Be sacred held in after years.
And warmly breathed as now.
Remember, "Doc," 'tis no common tie
That binds her youthful heart;
'Tis due only truth must weave,
And only death must part.
Then take her, and may fleeting time
Mark only joy's increase,
And make your days glide sweetly on
In happiness and peace.
