WEAVER, David, Jr. ![]() WALKER, James Berry Born: 1836, Lumpkin County, GA Died: The date and place is not known at this time Where Buried: We do not know son of West Walker and Fatima Bryan, was born in 1836 near Porter Springs, GA. He married in 1852-53. In July of 1861, the Blue Ridge Rifles were formed in Dahlonega. When the Blue Ridge Rifles reached Camp McDonald, they were connected with Company E, Phillips Legion. James Berry Walker is listed on Phillip's Legion, Company E's Muster Roll as follows: Joined for duty and enrolled 8 August 1861 at Camp McDonald, Cobb Co, Georgia for 3 years. After remaining at Camp McDonald a short time, they were ordered to Virginia and united with Wafford's Brigade, Longstreet Corps. James Berry Walker of Company E, Phillips Legion, later appears on a List of Prisoners taken and paroled at Warrenton, VA, 29 September 1862.
