STROUD CEMETERY
Located two miles southwest of Monroe City Limits. From intersection of H.D. Atha Road and Liberty Hill Church Road, go 0.1 mile south on
H. D. Atha Road just past residence number 2270 on the left side of the road. Cemetery is located on adjacent property enclosed by a fence on top of a slight hill. Located adjacent on the south side to the old Liberty Hill Baptist church.
Graves of Orion and Milcah Stroud (1795-1875) - (1801 - 1837) said to have been buried here but headstones moved to Rest Haven Cemetery in Monroe, remains not moved. There are no markers here for the Strouds (surveyed by Suzanne and Richard Forte, March 2013)

Milcah Trammell Stroud was born April 1, 1801 in Clarke County, Georgia, died Oct 21 1837, Walton County, Ga.
Orion Stroud was born Oct 8 1795 in Walton County, Georgia and died Feb 3, 1875 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.
Orion and Milcah married Sept 18 1817 in Clarke County, Georgia. Orion's parents were Mark John Stroud and Martha Patsy Strother; Milcah's parents were Thomas Trammell and Mary Turner Trammell.
Milcah and Orion went to Alabama (then Mississippi Territory) soon after their marriage in 1817 but after a few years returned to Walton County, Georgia, where they resided the rest of their lives. They were buried in the Stroud family cemetery but the graves were moved in the 1960's
