"I Thadeus B. Akridge of the county and state aforesaid being of sound mind and disposing memory do make ordain and proclaim this my last will and testament thereby revoking all others made by me.
Item 1st: I desire that my just debts be paid.
Item 2nd: I want my debts paid with the money obtained by the insurance of my life and one thousand dollars of the money received from said insurance company invested in Georgia seven or eight percent Bonds and should there be a remainder it to be loaned taking good security or interest in stocks or bonds. The dividends and interest used in educating my children and supporting my family.
Item 3rd: I desire that my beloved wife Sarah Jane and all my children share equally in all my estate except where otherwise stated and should she or any of my children marry the one marrying to draw out a proportional part from the bonds or stocks.
Item 4th: I want my estate including land, ---- property, and all other property kept together until my son Thomas Homer becomes of age. Then my land and perishable property to be sold and divided as shown above described. The town property on homeplace is to be sold and divided between my children. My wife is also to have the household and kitchen furniture, it not to be counted in the division.
Item 5th: Should my Executor and my wife, Sarah Jane, believe it is best to sell land or town property, I give them that right-the proceeds to be reinvested.
Item 6th: I want a suitable monument placed over my grave out of the proceeds of the estate.
Item 7th: I nominate and appoint my father-in-law, T. A. Gibbs and my brother-in-law, Eugenius T. Gibbs, my Executors and they shall not be required to make yearly returns of my estate.
