Dallas Algiro Brown was born in Warthen, Washington Co., GA May 5 1863. He was the eleventh of thirteen children born to William C. (1814-1898) and Elizabeth Thigpen Brown (1823-1897). Dallas was a farmer and a lumberman. He lived in the northern part of Washington County in the Union Baptist Church community near Warthen. At one time he worked in the lumber business in Chalker, then farmed and later was a constable and lived near Sandersville. Dallas married Bettie Malvina Garner in 1887 in Jefferson County GA. She was born September 1 1872 to Stephen Solomon Washington Garner and Antemedia Hasseltine Frazier. Dallas died December 20 1940 in Warthen, Washington Co., GA. Bettie died December 5 1945 in Warthen Washington Co., GA. Both are buried at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Warthen, Washington Co., GA.
