1950-51 Filming of "I'd Climb the Highest Mountain" in White County

The movie starred Susan Hayward, William Lundigan, Rory Calhoun and Gene Lockhart.

The folks in the Smith's Soda Shop photo are (l to r) Joe Clark, Judy Clark(back turned), Minto Gilstrap, Becky Gilstrap, Johnnie Gilstrap, Cleo Morris Gilstrap, and Ernestine Gilstrap.

The premier was a party on the square in Cleveland and featured a square dance. 

My father, Joe Neal Gilstrap, took these pictures at the premier of "I'd Climb the Highest Mountain", that was filmed in White County in 1950-51.
