Malinda Ganus lived in Campbell County GA originally, but removed to Whitfield County February 1893.

David Ganus, who was a soldier in Company C, 53rd Regiment, Georgia Volunteers; he died in a hospital at or near Fredericksburg VA between Dec 1862 and January 1863 from sickness caused by exposure. Widows pension application 1894.

Personally appeared BB Ganus, a son of Mrs Malinda Ganus, widowed pensioner of Whitfield County, who says that his mother died 7 Dec 1908, and that her burial expenses amounts to $20.00.....Dec 23, 1908, Jos Bogle Whitfield County Ordinary.
