CORDELE — Funeral services for Rev. David Larry Clements of Milledgeville will be held Friday, May 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Cordele First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Luke Cemetery in Ben Hill County. Rev. Clements, 59, died at Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville Tuesday, April 29, 2008.
Born in Ben Hill County, he was the son of Nita Luke Clements and the late James Robert Clements. Rev. Clements was a United States Air Force veteran and a Baptist Minister (RET).
He is survived by a son and his wife, David E. and Robin Clements of Americus; two daughters, Lisa M. Clements of Dalton and Lorie A. Everson of Leesburg; his mother, Nita Clements of Peachtree City; grandchildren, Cody Everson, Austin Everson, Carson Clements, Chelsey Clements and Zeke Clements; a brother, Bobby Clements of Fitzgerald; a sister and her husband, Linda and Jim Shealey of Peachtree City; two aunts and their husbands, Lillian and J.D. Cleghorn of Plymouth, FL and Arbie and William Palmer of Fitzgerald; and two uncles and their wives, Gene and Betsy Luke of Fitzgerald and Jimmy and Anita Luke of Benson, NC.
