DAWSON — Frances Troup Golden, 87, of Sasser, died Thursday, December 27, 2007, at Lee County Health Care in Leesburg. The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M., Saturday, December 29, 2007, at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Tucker officiating.
Mrs. Golden was born in Ben Hill County on August 21, 1920, daughter of the late Hardy Thomas Troup and Martha Luke Troup. She was a homemaker and lived in the Terrell county area most of her life.
She was a member of the Sasser Baptist Church and Golden Key Club in Albany.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Obie Newton Golden who passed away in 1970.
Survivors include her children, Tommy Golden of Dawson; Martha Jordon of Sasser; Hardy Golden of Albany; Beth Anthony of Ocala, FL; James Golden of Morgan; Robert Earl Golden and Jackie Dacus both of Phenix City, AL; a brother, Sanford Troup of Albany; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
