George W Byars Estate

The Lottery ticket, according to the name on it belonged to my great great grandmother, Elizabeth (McClure) Beauchamp. Wife of John Beauchamp and daughter of James McClure.

Butts County                                       

Whereas John Beauchamp late of said county, deceased, died intestate having while he lived and at the time of this death doing good chattels and credits within the county aforesaid by mercy.  Whereof the full disposition and power of granting the administration of all our singular the goods, chattel, rights and audits of the said deceased, and, also a friends dismission from the farm to the court aforesaid dues of right belong and the said court desiring that the general chattels rights and credits of the said deceased may be well and truly administrative (?) and legally disposed of to grant unto Elizabeth Beauchamp full power by the tenor of these present to administer the goods, chattels, rights and credits and land of said deceased, which to him in his lifetime and at the time of his death did belong and to ask deceased sue for and recover and receive the same and to pay she in which the deceased stood bound so far as his assets will extend according to law and then the balance justly to pay over to the legal heirs and distributors of said deceased and the said Elizabeth Beauchamp having given bond and security and taken the oath prescribed by law and performed all other requisity necessary to her just qualifications as Administratrix by order of said court and by virtue of these present contacted (?) and appointed administratrix by order of said courts and by virtue of others present, Administrix of all and singular the  goods, chattels, rights and credits and land of said deceased.
