Ways to Volunteer

Interested in helping other researchers find information about their ancestors? Consider the following opportunities. Learn what is expected by reading the Volunteer and Copyright information pages, then contact the Coordinator to express your interest.

• If you have books or other materials that relate to Dodge County and the people that once called it home, consider looking up information for other researchers in that material. 

• Contribute information about your ancestors that lived in Dodge county, such as photos, wills, military records, or other family information.

• Transcribe (type verbatim) books, obituaries or other materials for this website.

• Live in the area and have a digital camera? Consider taking photos of landmarks around the county, or of gravestones in a cemetery. You could transcribe the inscriptions on gravestones, or even visit the local courthouse or historical society to Look-Up information for other researchers.
