LAURA TENSLEY, 80 Nethercott AgencyLAKE WALES -- Mrs. Laura Jones Tensley of Lake Wales died of cancer Friday (Nov. 19, 2004) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 80.
Born in Blakely, Ga., on Aug. 7, 1924, she came to Lake Wales from Bartow 62 years ago. She was a personal sitter for the Nethercott Agency. She was a member of First Institutional Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Wales.
Mrs. Tensley is survived by her son, Leonard Butler, Lake Wales; daughter, Gail Bryan, Lake Wales; brother, London Jones Jr., New Haven, Conn.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at First Institutional Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Epps Mortuary, Lake Wales.
