Washington Memorial Library, Macon, Georgia -- one of the best genealogical collections in Georgia, but their catalog is not yet online. The University of Georgia Libraries -- online information about their collection. Newspaper collection is fantastic! The Jefferson County, Alabama, Public Library System online catalog. This is an amazing genealogical collection with many books on Georgia -- search by keywords for your locale, print the results (one source to a page), then take these sheets along on your next archives or library visit. Library of Congress online catalog -- a marvelous resource even if you never actually visit this library.
