This indenture made this 17th day of October in the Year of Our Lord Eighteen Hundred & Seventy Four between Jas T. Ellis of said County & State of the one part & Richd. A. Ellis son of the said Jas.T. Ellis for & in consideration of the Natural love & affection which he has & bears to his son Richd. A.Ellis hath given granted & conveyed & does by these presents give grant & convey unto the said Richd. A. Ellis his heirs & assigns all of that one half of lot of land situate lying & being in the third district of originally Henry County now Spalding County known by the Number Ninety four.  West half of said lot, said lot containing one hundred and one and one half acres, more or less, to have & to hold the above described property unto him the said Richd. A. Ellis in fee Tact. and his heirs as aforesaid free from all the debts & Liaibilities he may Contract or make. To their only benefit & the said Jas. T. Ellis for himself his heirs Executors & Administrator the said granted & conveyed premisses(?) unto the Said Richd. A. Ellis his heirs & assigns will warrant & forever defend the right & title thereof against themselves & against the claims of all other persons whatsoever.
