This Indenture made this 12th day of November, Eight Hundred and Thirty Four between Job Taylor of the County of Monroe and State of Georgia of the one part and James T. Ellis of the same state and County of Henry of the other part, Witnesseth that for the sum of One Hundred and Seventy-five Dollars to him the said Job Taylor in hand paid by the said James T. Ellis the receipt is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and conveyed and confirmed and by the presence do grant bargain sell unto the said James T. Ellis his heirs and assigns all that lot of land known by number 97 in the third district of Henry County containing two hundred and two and a half acres be it more or less to have and to hold the said tract of land with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances there of whatsoever to the said James T. Ellis and the said Job Taylor and his heirs unto the said James T. Ellis and assigns will forever warrant and defend the lawful title of said lot of land from the claims of any person or persons whatsoever In witness whereof the said Job Taylor has hereto set his hand and affixed his seal the date above written.                                                                         Job Taylor  (Seal)

This Indenture made and entered into this 23rd of February in the year of our Lord 1841 between Jas. T. Ellis of the one part and Berry Swinney of the other part both of the county and state aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Jas. T. Ellis hath for in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and twenty eight Dollars to him in hand paid has this day granted bargained sold and conveyed unto the said Swinney ninety acres of land being the north part of lot No. 162 one hundred and sixty two known as the place where Hillery Brooks formerly lived in the third district of said county and state aforesaid to have and to hold with all & singular the rights & appurtenances thereunto belonging & the said Ellis for his part his heirs & assigns do warrant & forever defend the rights & title of the above aforesaid land unto the said Swinney free from his claim or the claims of any other person whatsoever forever in fee simple.  In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand & seal the day and date first above written.  Signed & delivered in presence

This Indenture made the eighteenth August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty seven in sixty second year of the independence of the United States of America between J. T. Ellis of the county of Henry of the one part and David Heflin of the county of Pike of the other part  Witnesseth that the said J. T. Ellis for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the signing and delivering of these presence the receipt wherefor is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold aliened conveyed and confirmed & by these presents do grant bargain sell alien convey & confirm unto the said David Heflin his heirs & assigns all that lot of land except thirty acres of land on the north side of said lot containing two hundred two & one half acres known by lot number ninety seven (97) in the third (3) district of the county of Henry and state aforesaid to have and to hold the said lot and tract of land within all singular the rights members  & appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said lot and tract of land being belonging or in anywise appertaining with the remainders & the remainders to the only proper use benefit and behoof the said David Heflin his heirs executors administrators & assigns in fee simple and the said J. T. Ellis his heirs executors and administrators the said bargained lot of land unto the said David Heflin his heirs executors and administrators and assigns against the said J. T. Ellis his heirs executors & administrators & all every other person or persons shall and will warrant & forever defend by virtue of these presents In witness whereof the said J. T. Ellis hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.  Signed sealed and delivered in presence

This Indenture made and entered into this the 31st day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand & fifty three between Wm. Ellis and James T. Ellis both of the county and state aforesaid, Witnesseth that the said William Ellis hath this day for and in consideration of the sum of Eighteen hundred Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt wherefor is hereby acknowledged hath this day granted bargained and sold unto the said James T. Ellis his heirs & assigns a certain parcel of land lying in the county and state aforesaid but formerly in the third district of Henry known in the plan of said district as Lot No (64) sixty four & seventy acres off the of the west side of Lot No. (66) and also twenty acres off of the remaining portion of Lot No. (66) sixty six to be taken off of the north end of said remaining portion of said Lot and the said Wm Ellis doth hereby bind himself his heirs executors & administrators to warrant & forever defend the above described premises & all the appurtenances thereto belonging unto the said Jas. T. Ellis his heirs & assigns free from the claim or claims of all & every other person or persons whatsoever forever in fee simple.
