This Indenture made this the seventh day June in the of our Lord Eight hundred and thirty nine Between James R. George of the County & State aforesaid of the one part & William J. Ellis of the same place of the other part Witnesseth that the said James R. George for & in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge(d) has bargained and sold and by these presents does bargain & sell unto the said William J. Ellis his heirs & assigns all my interest in Lot No. one hundred & three in the Second Dst. of Pike County & State aforesaid which interest consists of the one fourth part of said Lot together with that portion of Lot No. ninety in the State County and District aforesaid containing Sixty acres more or less with all & singular the rights members & appertainances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to have (hold) the said bargained premises unto him the said William J. Ellis his heirs & assigns to his & thie own proper use benefit & behoof for ever in fee simple & the said James R. George for him self his heirs & assigns will warrant and for ever defend the said bargained land unto him the said William J. Ellis his heirs & assigns against the claim or claims of themselves & against the claim & claims of all other persons whatsoever in Testimony whereof he has hereunto set hand and affixed his seal the day & year above written.

This Indenture made this the Twentyeth day of November one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine between James R. George of the one part and William J. Ellis of the other part both of the County and State aforesaid Witnesseth that the said James R. George for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge(d) hat granted and sold and by these presents do grant Bargain Sell and convey unto the said William J. Ellis his heirs and Assigns the one fourth part Lot No. Ninety claimed by said Ellis's Dower containing forty five Acres more or less situated and lying in Second District originally Monroe now Pike County, the above described land being the Dower owned by said William J. Ellis during the life of his wife to have and to hold the aforesaid parcel of Land unto him the said William J. Ellis his heirs and Assigns to his and their own proper use forever in fee simple and the said James R. George his heirs and Assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title hereof free from the claim of themselves and all and every other person or persons whatsoever.   Day and Date above written.
