You'll find links to Gwinnett cemetery transcriptions at GAGenWeb Archives, USGenWeb Tombstone Project, and other sites listed at the bottom of this page. If you only have a couple of minutes and could take a couple of digital photographs (long "landscape" views), they would be a great addition for folks who can't come to Georgia.  OR, if you have transcribed just a few tombstones of your family members, they would be welcome!  I'm a firm believer in free access to genealogy on the Internet, and every transcription is a family member remembered and a researcher who will have access to that information. IF YOU'D LIKE TO HELP:   Please check this list to see what we already have online.  Contact me before starting on a transcription, so that I can check and make sure that currently no one is working on the same cemetery.  Please send your transcription in plain text, either NotePad or WordPad (not Excel or .html).  If you send tombstone photographs, please send only two or three along with a transcription.  Photographs are not searchable on the site search or general search engines. Thanks for any help you can give to make this project a success!  .    Eagle Scout and Venture Scout candidates looking for a project may find ideas on the VOLUNTEER  page. If you are contributing to any other cemetery site, like The USGenWeb Tombstone Project or Archives Project, or another site like Find-A-Grave or Interment.Com, PLEASE consider copying your transcriptions and/or photographs to the Gwinnett County GAGenWeb site.  That way, your efforts will be appreciated by more researchers.

Transcriptions on this site were completed in the field by Gwinnett County GAGenWeb volunteers. The book, "Gwinnett County Georgia Deaths, 1818-1989," is available for reference in most Gwinnett County Public Libraries.
It is indexed by the last name of the deceased. It is available for purchase from the Gwinnett Historical Society.
