Below are death records that have been submitted to this Merwiether County site by contributors. If you have ancestors that died in your County prior to 1920 (or the ancestor was born in the 1800's), you may submit them to me for inclusion on this page. (If you have more than 10 death records, if possible, please submit them in alphabetical order.) Meriwether County did not start recording deaths until 1929. Statewide registration of birhs and deaths began in 1919. There was general compliance for births by 1928 and deaths by 1922. Birth cerficates for living persons should not be posted on this site.
